Scott N. Thayer is a retired American diplomat who spent much of his career working on political and economic reform in Central and Eastern Europe in both bilateral and multilateral settings. He was chargé d’affaires and deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Bratislava, Slovakia (2002 – 2005) and has been a director of the Friends of Slovakia for over 10 years.
