Amb. Andrej Droba assumed his duties as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the United States of America in November 2025. He joined the Slovak Foreign Service in 1998 and has held several senior diplomatic assignments, including serving as Ambassador to Canada (2014–2018), Ambassador to Poland (2020–2022), and Ambassador to Ireland (from 2022). His earlier postings include serving as Second Secretary at the Permanent Mission of the Slovak Republic to the UN in New York, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Slovak Embassy in Washington, D.C., and Director of the Office of the State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. Amb. Droba graduated from the University of Economics in Bratislava, Faculty of Commerce.
