Amb. Radovan Javorčík assumed his duties as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the United States of America in January 2021. He joined the Slovak Foreign Service in 1995, where he held several high-profile assignments, including serving as Deputy Director of the Policy Planning Department at the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Slovak Republic on the North Atlantic Council (2017-2020), Ambassador to Israel (2011-2015), Director for North America and the Middle East & Director for Security Policy, and Charge d’Affaires at the Slovak Embassy in London (2005-2009). Prior to joining the Slovak Foreign Service, Amb. Javorcik worked at the Office of the President of the Slovak Republic in the Press and later Foreign Policy Department. Amb. Javorčík graduated from the Slovak Technical University, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and completed his studies at the Institute of International Relations at the Comenius University in Bratislava.
