Dr. Pavol Demeš celebrates the publication of a revised edition of his excellent book “Friend-Partner-Ally” in a book launch sponsored by Ambassador Adam Sterling at the US Embassy in Bratislava on February 6, 2018. The book chronicles 25 years of the U.S.-Slovak diplomatic relations. The event was attended by 120+ people, including two former Slovak Ambassadors to the United States, prominent NGO leaders, and a wide variety of contacts from business, education, cultural, and diplomatic communities.
In his remarks, acting FM Korcok stressed the enduring mission of creating a Europe whole, free and at peace while noting ongoing challenges to this goal, including fighting in Ukraine. Ambassador Sterling notes the strong people-to-people ties that provide the solid foundation of our partnership, recognizing several people in the room who had contributed to our relationship.
