Miroslav Topolánek
Miroslav Topolánek is a Czech politician and executive in the power industry. He was the leader of the Civic Democratic Party (ODS), from 2002 to 2010, and served as Prime Minister from 2006 to 2009. He was also the President of the Council of the European Union. After his political career, Topolánek remained active in the power industry and held various executive positions, including Chairman of the Executive Board of the District Heating Association from 2011 to 2018 and again in 2022. Since 2014, Topolánek has been Director of International Development and Public Affairs at the Slovak energy company Eustream. He also serves on the Board at the Slovak company SES Tlmače and consults for EP Industries. Topolánek graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology in Brno.
